Mom Blogs at MomDot

Hello, I'm Sara from Sara Plays House.  Once upon a time, I was an art teacher.  Now I'm a stay at home mom to my two daughters, Avery and Zoe.  I've been married to my fabulously geeky husband for seven years, but we've been together for close to twelve.  How did an artsy girl get together with a guy that writes code?  This is a question for the ages.  But I can't imagine life any other way.

I started my blog waaaaay back in August of 2006.  My first daughter was almost one, and I was looking for a way to keep up with out of town family.  I wasn't expecting to love the blogosphere as much as I did!  But please, please don't go look at my early posts.  You totally will now, won't you?  Sigh.  Reading back over some of them makes me CRINGE, but it is what it is.  

I write about my life, I write about my crazy girls and my ever-so-patient husband.  I have a Saturday Night Art Show (almost) every week where I showcase the latest work of my two best pupils.  I decorate cakes, and often share them on my blog.  I've just recently started hosting giveaways, which has been alot of fun!  But for the most part--my focus remains on my family.  Every family has a story, and I love that I have an outlet to share ours.

I hope that you'll stop by and visit some time.  I can promise you randomness, cuteness, and maybe a freebie or two.  Be warned--it is VERY pink over here.  I figured my blog life should mirror my real life.  The one where I drown in pink.  Gotta share the pain, y'all!  ;)
